The **tonebase Piano YouTube channel** has recently established itself as the leading public channel for high-quality, in-depth classical piano instruction and commentary videos with world class artists.
In the summer of 2021 we produced a short documentary with Emanuel Ax about his experience learning Chopin under Covid lockdown, helping to catapult the channel past 10,000 subscribers.
By the summer of 2022 we produced a review of Yunchan Lim’s Rach 3 performance at the Cliburn competition that has surpassed 700,000 views to date. The channel’s subscriber count has since tripled to nearly 75,000.
In 2023 we seek to increase the consistency, quality, and reach of our content in order to grow our subscriber base well beyond 100,000 and expand our influence throughout the music world and beyond.
Launched in 2019, tonebase Piano is an online music education company that lets anyone learn from the world's greatest musicians. Since its inception in 2017, tonebase has produced an upwards of 1000 online lessons across three subscription platforms – Piano, Violin, and Classical Guitar – and are in the process of expanding to Cello. It is our mission to continue expanding to more instruments and fields, facilitating broad access to the top minds in the creative arts.
As the tonebase Piano Editing Assistant, you will work directly with the Head of Piano to help ensure the regular production and release of creative, original classical piano content. Each week, you will be expected to perform direct edits on new video content, prepare editing timelines and compile media and assets for the Head of Piano, and finalize data and materials for upload.
This is an ideal role for a knowledgable pianist with interest and experience in video content creation looking for part-time work in a dynamic small-team environment with the potential to make an outsized impact in the classical music space.
